The New Forest with it's wild ponies, lovely scenery, country pubs is only half an hours drive away.
Within one hour from Acacia Bed and Breakfast is Portsmouth with it's maritime museums, Southampton with it's shopping, the Isle of Wight and even the university city of Oxford. Winchester to London Waterloo station is also less than one hour.
