The Town of Stratford is located immediately to the southeast of the City of Charlottetown, the provincial capital and largest municipality in Prince Edward Island. The Stratford area was founded in the 1750's when several Acadian families settled in the Bunbury area, and following acceptance of the Royal Commission on the Land's recommendations by the Provincial Government, the Town of Stratford was created on April 1, 1995. Whether it's an overnight stay or a summer-long journey, Stratford, Prince Edward Island is a wonderful place to visit. There are numerous amenities, including a bevy of recreation options, world-class golfing, shopping, and sightseeing, right in the Town. And, our location adjacent to Charlottetown, the Provincial capital and home to the Island's only commercial airport, makes Stratford a convenient point for an Island vacation.

Waiheke Island is the second largest island (9,324 hectares) within the Hauraki Gulf. It is 26 km long and 19 km across at its widest point, with rolling hills that reach 230 metres at the highest point. Its name translated means cascading waters which refers to the waterfalls now within the Whakanewha Regional Park. It is a unique island settlement close to Auckland with a resident population of about 7,000 spread out around the numerous bays and beaches mainly grouped at the western end.
