The Historical Society was formed in 1967 preserving the artifacts gathered from friends and family. In 2013, the Lynde House was purchased from Cullen Gardens and moved to its permanent home at the corner of Brock and Burns Streets. The original collection of antiques and artifacts were combined with those received in the purchase of Lynde House.
