Matarangi

Matarangi is small modern tourist town on the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand. The small town consists of 300 permanent residents and over 7000 holiday residents during the summer periods of December 30 - February. Matarangi is very new having only started development since 1985 and is built on a white sand spit. The town is very wealthy appealing to wealthy tourists and holiday makers. Matarangi is well know for its prestige, luxury and residents lavish lifestyles. The towns shopping center though small has much to offer including Dairy's, Cafes, Fine Dining Restaurants, Liquor Stores, Hardware and Hire Centers, many Real Estate Agents, Fire Stations, Health Spa's and many tennis courts and other parks and leisure centers.
