Spice Garden in Anse Royale on Mahe Island Seychelles
Le Jardin Du Roi Spice Garden is located in Anse Royale approximately 15 minutes from Chalets d' Anse Forbans. It is a most see attraction when on Holiday in Seychelles.
The Jardin is located on a hill top and offers superb views of the bay of Anse Royale below. But it is not only for its views that you should visit this Seychelles attraction but also for it wonderful exotic garden which boasts vanilla vines, citronelle(lemongrass- wonderful tea), cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper and other spices.
Jardin du Roi also produce their own spices which they sell in their Spice shop. Jardin du Roi Shop also has an array of hand made candles.
Within the gardens the original farm homestead still stands and some wonderful artefact's, documents and antique furniture can be seen in this small museum.
The Seychelles giant tortoises are another most see when visiting the gardens. Children also love the collection of rabbits and you can lay back and enjoy the wonderful bird life on offer.
When visiting the Jardin du Roi you can either explore the gardens at your leisure or if you would prefer a guided mountain hike this can be arranged, but at least 24 hours notice needs to be given.
We highly recommend you try their Delicious home made ice cream when visiting.
