Port Lincoln lies on the scenic Eyre Peninsula in Southern Australia. This is a true bayside city that has its livelihood closely linked with the ocean.
Port Lincoln is one of the world's largest natural deepwater harbours and has a long history associated with the sea. Once a centre for Tuna canning and processing, Port Lincoln is now making its name (and fortune) with its Tuna Aquaculture Industry.
The sea provides a strong attraction for visitors to Port Lincoln. Enjoy the views from the Eyre Peninsula and nearby Lincoln National Park. Visit a Koala sanctuary, enjoy whale watching from the cliffs during the whale season or, for the adventurous, head for the seas and go cage diving in a Great White Shark breeding ground.
A curious excursion is to head out on a Tuna snorkel ... visit one of the tuna farms that Port Lincoln is famous for and see this curious aquaculture practice for yourself.
