Seychelles 5th May 2010: All the guests at Chalets d' Anse Forbans where thrilled to be apart of the experience of viewing 159 baby hawskbill turtles hatching and being released on the beach of Anse Forbans.
The Marine Conservation Society of the Seychelles and was concerned the nest laid on Anse Forbans beach on the 11th March 2010 by a hawksbill turtle mybe water logged due to high tides and rainfall of late.
Elke representing the Marine Conservation Society dug down towards the nest and found baby turtles already hatched and dugging their way to the surface. It would have taken the turtles a further 2 days to make it to the surface without the aid of the MCSS.
The MCSS cleared the beach, made the markings and released the 159 turtles to the ocean.
