DETAILED PROGRAM
Day 1: Arrive Ho Chi Minh City
On your arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you are welcomed by our guide at Tan Son Nhat airport and then will be transferred to your hotel in the city center. Relax and free time. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels (B)
In the morning, we will go to Hoc Mon district to visit Cu Chi tunnel, visit the incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. Back to Ho Chi Minh City. In the afternoon, visit War Museum, Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B/L)
Heading out of the bustling city, we will take a car ride along rice field to My Tho, one of Mekong Delta provinces. Upon arrival in My Tho, we embark on a boat navigating around the small canals in the delta region passing My Tho fruit market. Joining in with daily activities of local people and enjoy the atmosphere of the life on water along the canals and Tien river. The exciting cruise continues to Unicorn island, here you can taste many seasonal fruits and enjoy the local traditional music, performed by the islanders. Having lunch at a typical country garden house. Next stops are the coconut candy “mill” and some other local industries in Ben Tre province. Drive back Ho Chi Minh for overnight.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang (B)
After breakfast, take a short flight to Nha Trang, a city right on the beach. Check-in hotel and rush to beach for relaxation or swimming and many more activities.
In the afternoon take half day city to visit Long Son Pagoda, built in commemoration of the monks and nuns who died whilst fighting the Diem government and Cham Po Nagar temples. Just next to Cham Po Nagar temples is the Thap Ba Hot Spring center. Enjoy fun with Mud bathing and swimming in Mineral springs (optional, not included in the tour price). Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 5: Nha Trang (B/L)
You will have one day boat trip. Firstly we will go to Mun Island, the best site for snorkeling where you will see lots of live colorful corals and fish. Relax, sunbath and swim at Tam island. Then visit Tri Nguyen Aquarium on Mieu Island where you will have chance to see the life of the many sea species of Nhatrang Ocean in this aquarium. Return to Nha Trang at about 16.00. Overnight in Nha trang.
Day 6: Nha Trang – Hoi An (B)
You will take a morning flight to Da Nang. On arrival at Da Nang airport, you will be transferred to Hoi An town about 35km away. In the afternoon, take a walking tour to Hoi An ancient town where the culture of Vietnam/Chinese/Japanese are mixed. Visit Chinese tiled houses, Chinese temples, Japanese covered bridge. Overnight in Hoi an.
Day 7: Hoi An - Da Nang – Hue (B)
Free for shopping on your own in the morning. Around 1.00 PM, we will take a car ride to Hue, visit to Cham Museum in Danang City en-route. Continue on to Hue through Hai Van pass, and nice Lang Co beach with spectacular views of the beach. Arrive in Hue in the late afternoon, check in hotel. Overnight in Hue.
Day 8: Hue (B)
Cyclo tour to visit Imperial Citadel, another World Cultural Heritage site. Then we will visit Thien Mu pagoda, King Tu Duc tomb, King Minh Mang tomb. Overnight in Hue.
Day 9: Hue - Hanoi (B)
Leave Hue for Hanoi on the morning flight. Our guide will welcome you at Noi bai airport and then will transfer you to your hotel in the city center. After freshen up, we would like to show you of the Hanoian daily life with one hour Cyclo (trishaw) ride around the old streets, then we stop at Thang Long Theatre for enjoying 01 hour water puppets show. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 10: Hanoi full day visits – Night train to Lao Cai (B)
Today we would like to show you the major cultural sites around Hanoi city. The first place to visit will be Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (the Temple of Literature and the first university in Vietnam) then we go to Ba Dinh Square for visiting Uncle Ho’s (Ho Chi Minh President) Mausoleum, His Residence area, and one Pillar pagoda nearby. Next sites to visit are Quan Thanh temple and Tran Quoc pagoda. In the afternoon, we will visit the largest and most interesting Museum of Vietnam Ethnology, then go back to the Old quarter for shopping. Enjoy your own dinner before transfer to the train station for the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train in a 4 soft berths sharing cabin.
Note: If you want to have a private 2 person cabin on the train journeys, the extra charge is 75 US$ per person.
Day 11: Sapa – Hill Tribe villages (B)
Upon arrival to Lao Cai train station, transfer to Sapa town, 35km away. Have breakfast and today you will visit Sapa town and take a 2km short trekking to Cat Cat Village, the home of H’mong minority. Back to Sapa for your own lunch. In the afternoon visit Ta Fin village, visit Ta Fin handicraft shop and explore the daily life of Red Dzao. Overnight at hotel in Sapa.
Day 12: Sapa- Hill tribe market - Night train to Hanoi (B)
After breakfast we will leave for Hill Tribe Market for about 3 hours driving to the market. Join in the colorful market of the tribal people in this region. On the fair market the H'mong, Dzao, Phu La people in their best traditional costumes go to the market for shopping and meeting friends and relatives…
Say goodbye to the colorful market and drive to Chay River where you will get on a boat for a river adventure. You are bound to feel great and find yourselves smaller among high Rock Mountains and to be surprised at white and breathtakingly waterfalls while cruising along the river. Get off the boat to visit a village of the Tay Minority (Trung Do village) by the river. After the boat trip, we drive back to Laocai and pay a short visit to the Vietnam-Chinese border gate.
You will have time for your own dinner at a local restaurant in the town before driving to the railways station for night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train in the air-con soft berth cabin.
Day 13: Hanoi – Halong (B/L/D)
On arrival in Hanoi train station at around 4.30 AM, the guide will meet you and transfer you to a day use hotel for few hours relaxing and showering. Enjoy breakfast before continuing on the drive to Halong Bay, a World Heritage Site of outstanding natural beauty at 8am. After 3 and a half hours nice drive through the Red river delta, you will arrive at Halong. Upon arrival, transfer to a junk for a cruise around Ha Long Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch served on board. Passing Dog Island, Incense Urn Island, Ga Choi Island, Finger Island, Hoa Cuong Island, and visit Surprise cave and take a short swim at Titov beach or kayak (kayak cost is not include in this package: extra 10 US$ per person), if weather permitted. Have dinner on board. In the evening, enjoy the night fishing and later overnight on boat.
Day 14: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (B)
In the morning, continue on cruising to Bai Tu Long Bay, Fire Island, Bo Nau Island, fishing village. Having lunch on boat and arrive at Ha long wharf about 11.00 noon. Return to Hanoi by private car. We will arrive in Hanoi at about 16.00 pm. The rest of the time is free on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 15: Hanoi - Departure (B)
Free time for shopping or optional visit before transfer to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight. Say goodbye to Hanoi and Vietnam.
