The 1708 House is an historic Southampton Bed and Breakfast, in the Hamptons, located at 126 Main Street (next door to Saks Fifth Avenue). The house was known to exist in 1708 and boasts a museum-like cellar dating to approximately 1648.
The extensive restoration of The 1708 House commenced in 1993 and our Southampton Bed and Breakfast opened its doors to guests in the summer of 1996. The 1708 House is now a renowned Bed and Breakfast in Southampton and in the Hamptons. The main house consists of four 18th century, one 19th century, four 20th century, and three 21st century accommodations. In addition there are three separate two bedroom cottages; two of which have kitchens. All accommodations have private bath, cable television, direct phone line with message service and central air conditioning.
The Bed and Breakfast public areas include a formal parlor with fireplace, a wood paneled reading room, a dining room graced with Limoges china and sterling silver, and a brick patio where guests can gather for breakfast or evening refreshments.
