The Aiace Bed and Breakfast is approximately 1 km from the sea. It is an area surrounded by nature at the foot of the mountain overlooking Partanna Mondello in Palermo, Italy. There are six beds, a large sitting/reading room, a bathroom and a fully equipment kitchen.
The Aiace Bed and Breakfast is about twenty minutes from Mondello's city centre where you may visit the Teatro Massimo, the Teatro Politeama, the Cathedral and the Norman Palace; just to mention a few of the sites of interest in this historical and culturally rich Mediterranean city.
Restaurants in the nearby coastal villages of Sferracavallo and Barcarello specialize in a delicious variety of fish-based dishes. A visit to the Nature Reserve of Capo Gallo is a must.
Another place which should not be missed is the sanctuary of Mondello Italy's patron saint, Santa Rosalia, where the remains of the saint are preserved in a very characteristic church situated in a cave.
The "Festino", which is held on 15th july, commemorates the Saint who is believed to have miraculously freed the city from the plague. The statue of Santa Rosalia with her remains is paraded in triumph on a spectacular float, traditionally drawn by oxen, along an historic route through the old city. The Aiace Bed and Breakfast is a great place to stay.
