Alan Gaillard Ceramics and Irish Pottery in Clifden, Ireland, operates a Ceramics and Pottery Studio from an eco-friendly Studio, and 75% of all energy that is used in the Studio, workshop and home is generated with a wind turbine. All tableware created in our Studio are microwave, dishwasher and oven proof, and glazes, created by using all natural raw materials, include copper red, dolomite, iron and an occasional splash of cobalt blue. In 2013 the spectacular and classic Japanese tenmoku and Japanese style green celadon glaze was used, and after several years of test firing, Alan Gaillard Ceramics and Irish Pottery introduced a new and delightful glaze that is a beautiful copper red splash.
