With Alaska Halibut Charters, Kenai, Alaska, United States view incredible wildlife such as Sea otters, puffins, eagles, seals, porpoises and whales which all make Kachemack Bay their home. Fishing isn't just a sport in Alaska, but a great way to spend the day taking in breathtaking scenery, enjoying family and friends, and ooh yes catching big barn door Alaskan halibut.
A day of halibut Fishing is relaxing, easy, and fun. You'll have the time of your life, although your arms might get more of a workout than they bargained for. Halibut can vary in size from 20lb "chickens" to huge 100 plus pound "barndoor" halibut. The limit is two halibut per day and most halibut kept are in the 25 to 50lb range, although 100lb plus halibut are quite common.
Alaska Classic Adventures, Kenai offers Alaska Halibut Charters which will always go all out to ensure the quality of your trip and put on big fish, even if we have to go a bit further out. Be careful when choosing your halibut Fishing charter, one thing we've noticed is that there are some halibut charters that see people as numbers and dollar signs and will only do the bare minimum to get you two small halibut and return saving gas. Our philosophy is completely the opposite by creating an authentic, quality experience we will in the long run all prosper more. Another aspect to keep in mind is the number of people you will be Fishing with on your trip. Some charters take up to 15 or more people at a time! I don't know about you but there's nothing worse than being overcrowded while Fishing elbow to elbow. We limit all our halibut charters to six people and try to create a quaint, easy going atmosphere.
We use nothing but the highest quality equipment and Fishing tackle. Our captains are friendly, experienced, and US Coast Guard certified. We will supply all Fishing tackle, bait, and offer free fish filleting.
