A true links that rises out of the sea and is set totally in coastal sand dunes. Magnificent views from the fairways over King George Sound. From July to October a good chance to spot whales calving. Once described by Craig Parry as his favourite Australian Golf course. The windswept fairways are typical linksland with swales and undulations, and the smooth greens are very quick with subtle variations. The vegetation consists of Albany "woolly" bushes and "peppies" that make for tight driving from many tees.
The course plays particularly long with the hardy kikuyu grass and prevailing wind conditions. A very enjoyable and testing layout.
The club recently built a new $2.5 million National award winning clubhouse with excellent Golf course and ocean views. Visitors are welcome to use the facilities after their round.
Visitors are welcome and memberships are available. Neat dress code.
