Welcome to Alff's Florist, Austin, Texas, United States. Over 100 years ago in 1883, Charles Alff left his native Germany, settled in Austin, Texas and established a nursery and Florist on what is now Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Alff's nursery did the landscaping for many of the homes erected in Austin around the turn of the century. Many of the trees now shading the lawns of Laguna Gloria, Zilker Park and the University of Texas campus were planted by Alff's.
Throughout the subsequent generations, members of the Alff family were active in the nursery and floral business in the area. Plants grown by Charles Alff's granddaughter and great-grandson were sold on consignment during the 1950's at F.W. Woolworth Company, at 6th and Congress Ave, which is now the present site of Alff's Florist at the entrance to One American Center, a landmark highrise on the Austin, Texas skyline.
Today, the great, great-grandson of Charles Alff, Rodger Noack, owns and operates the family business. He continues the long tradition of providing Alff?s clients with personal attention, quality service and the finest floral products available.
