Our strategy is simple: we are a Hotel that aims to make your stay as affordable and relaxing as possible. We offer clean and pleasant rooms, good service and genuine friendliness. Our kitchen is also available for guest use.

Ami Hotel is a family-run Hotel established in the autumn of 1999. It was formerly called Kongsbakken Gjestehus. "Ami" means friendship in French. We have 17 guest rooms and a capacity for up to 30 guests. All rooms have television, refrigerator, hot and cold water and possibility for broadband Internet access. Seven rooms have private bathrooms. There are communal areas on each floor. The AMI Hotel is cleaned daily, including servicing of rooms. We can offer everything from a single room to a family room for five people. You can choose between single or double beds and smoking or non-smoking rooms.

The Hotel is situated in a quiet street beside a park with a fantastic view of Tromsø city, the Arctic Cathedral and across Tromso Sound. The distance from the Hotel to the main pedestrian street in the city centre is just 300m and it is about 4 km to the airport. We have a guest car park beside the Hotel. There are good bus connections in the immediate vicinity.
