The historic Ancestors Inn at the Bassett House is a beautiful, large, brick, Italianate which was built about 1860 and lovingly restored by your Innkeepers.

For the exercise enthusiast, Onondaga Lake Park, just two b locks away, has flat, paved running, biking and roller-blade trails that are away from all vehicular traffic. Or visit the Gleason Mansion or Salt Museum.
You will enter through the garden-like foyer. Then you can relax in the large, formal Victorian parlor.
All of our rooms (new room coming in May) have queen-sized beds and private baths and TV/VCRs. We have movies, magazines, and books to borrow. We are centrally air conditioned.
Ancestors Inn at the Bassett House serves a full gourmet breakfast . Breakfast items offered are a main entrée, breads and pastries, seasonal fruits, and homemade granola. For those traveling on business in the Syracuse area, a gourmet, continental breakfast is served on weekdays. Modem access is also available.
George & Regina's Room was named for Mary's great grandparents, this is the largest room in Ancestors Inn at the Bassett House. It is decorated in gray-blue and rose and has roses stenciled on the walls. Since Regina was a tailor, this room has a sewing theme with vintage fashion prints on the wall and
an old Singer sewing machine. George & Regina's room features a romantic electric fireplace. The private bath for this room is directly across the hall and has a large rain shower.
