We offer high quality accommodation, in very comfortable furnished and decorated rooms. The Anchorage Guest House is in a wonderful location two minutes walk to the village centre.   We also benefit from a large car park on site.

The Anchorage Guest House is a non-smoking Guest House.  We are open all year with wonderful views of Loughrigg Fell and Wansfell Pike, yet so close to the centre of Ambleside, no matter what the season. The Anchorage Guest House offers an ideal base to explore the lakedistrict with fell walking, climbing, mountain biking and water sports all nearby. All types of water sports and cruises are available on the beautiful Lake Windermere.

For the less energetic, Ambleside Village has a lot to offer, The Bridge House, Museum and Cinema to name a few. Then of course you have all the old shops and cafe's to explore. Ambleside is a lively village with a host of restaurants and pubs for a great night out.

All of our bedrooms are tastfully decorated and comfortably furnished. All rooms have TeaCoffee making facilities, colour TV, radio alarm clocks and hairdryers
