The Angler's Rest is situated in the Strawberry Beds 15 minutes from Dublin city in Ireland.
The Angler's Rest has quite an extensive premises with plenty of comfortable seating and open fires. The seafood is delivered daily from Howth guaranteeing a lunchtime menu that comprises of a wonderful array of seafood dishes.  The Angler's Rest's house specials include seafood chowder, a sumptuous seafood platter, daily seafood specials are always sure to please. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
The Anglers Rest is a large spacious traditional Pub with a trendy atmosphere, it is a genuine country Pub located just a few minutes from Dublin’s city centre, the interior is well furnished with timber ceilings, solid wooden floors, lot’s of nooks and crannies and a long bar with lot’s of comfortable seating, giving the place a warm and convivial feeling.
Previously the road on which The Angler’s Rest is situated was the main road west on which Oliver Cromwell’s army marched in 1641. During the 1919-1922 periods, Michael Collins would meet his Dublin Castle spies at The Angler’s Rest.
The Anglers Rest has an extensive menu of delicious food on offer, at reasonable prices. This is a marvellous Pub to spend and afternoon or evening, with bands playing on Friday and Saturdays, as well as Sunday afternoons. There really is a quaint old feel to the place. It is one of the hidden treasures of rare Old Dublin, where you can be guaranteed an exceptional meal in lively surroundings. Angler’s Rest also boasts a sprawling Beer Gardens, which runs adjacent to the Pub and are renowned for its famous Barbeques during the summer & there is always a lively mixture of young and trendy locals.
The Anglers Rest has catered for numerous Private & Corporate parties since it opened in 1998. We have held Product launches, corporate company functions, birthday parties & our Christmas extravagance parties……to name but a few.
We cater for small groups in the salmon bar or the xxx restaurant 40-60 people, or we can cater for the larger party of 300+ upstairs in the newly refurbished function room. We will arrange menus to suit your specific requirements & organise any other extras you might require.
