The Indonesians loosely translate the word ''ANTIQUE'' as meaning "different" - This theme can also be extended to a funky little Restaurant known as 'antique', in Seminyak - a designer antique that certainly isn't old, but can definitely be classified as special and different, but don't expect anything rustic or olde worlde about antique. The building is modern, stylish and air-conditioned, and the dècor is chic and fresh, with the dishes to a very unique design.
The cuisine is described as Pan-Asian fusion, in term of an innovative combination of taste and flavour. Antique blends comfort and sophistication with a fascinating menu that has no boundaries or border constraint. It explores new frontiers without formality and has been culturally inspired without the restrictions of tradition.
At the front of the Restaurant, there is an al-fresco area where you can relax and eat or drink whilst watching the world go buy on the busy street outside.
Antique was open two years ago (2000): it is in the hub of Seminyak's trendy jalan abimanju (abimanju street), and is therefore a great place to start, and maybe even finish, your evening.
