Only 100 years away, at the end of our 1/4 mile drive sits Apple Lane Inn. A historic Victorian farmhouse built in the 1870's overlooks our two acres of meadow, gardens, apple trees, and minifarm. Just five miles south of Santa Cruz, the quiet country feeling is enhanced with a Victorian gazebo perched amid lawns and gardens.
Begin your day at 9 a.m. in the parlor with an elegant breakfast.
While visiting, explore beaches, redwoods, and wineries. Go golfing and/or sail on our beautiful Monterey Bay. Antiquing in the nearby villages of Aptos, Soquel and Capitola is often rewarding.
Back home at the Inn, listen to the player piano, play cards and table games, or just relax with a good book from the parlor library. Step outside to enjoy the rose and iris gardens. Visit "Rio" the carriage horse and "Ringer" the Tennessee walker. The goats, will be sure to greet you and don't miss the Chinese golden pheasants. Enjoy an afternoon on the brick patio beside blooming wisteria, grapes and towering trees.
