Welcome to Arrandale Cottage located on the foreshore of Proper Bay in Port Lincoln on the way to the National Park, Australia. Allandale Cottage is the ideal spot for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
It was originally part of an eighty acres section and built in 1876 together with Arrandale House for James Sinclair a noted pastoralist from Greenpatch.
With the Investigator Trail in front of the door it is perfect to go for a stroll (you may spot some wild orchids in spring), catch some fish or just take in the view over the bay and the Lincoln National Park across the water.
Arrandale Cottage is available for a minimum of 2 nights stay and can accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
Port Lincoln is a small city of 14000 people and boast a large natural harbour.
It was originally considered for the capital of South Australia, but because of the lack of fresh water Adelaide was chosen instead.
The first settlers arrived in March 1839 aboard the ships Abeona, Dorset and Porter, there is a commemorative plaque at the first Landing Site on the Northern side of the city near Axel Stenross Maritime Museum.
The main industries in Port Loncoln are fishing, a large grain loading facility and tourism.
