Welcome to Art History Florence, Firenze, Italy.
There is an ideal solution for people who would like to visit Florence and learn about its art treasures, but only have a couple of days time: the expert Waldemar H. de Boer offers short art history Courses (3 days) in the beautiful Palazzo Guadagni at Piazza Santo Spirito: - Early and High Renaissance in Florence - Late Renaissance and Mannerism in Florence - Medici Villas and Gardens
These Courses from Art History Florence, Firenze, are perfect for those who prefer lessons in small groups and are looking for a teacher with a PhD level. Of course, we will not only talk about art, but also go and see some beautiful masterpieces. Site visits to a.o. the Uffizi, the Palazzo Pitti and the Medici chapels are included.
No prior knowledge of art history is necessary to participate.
Waldemar H. de Boer offers three art history Courses. These are not based on plain text book lessons, but are products of the teacher's own research, filled with information of the most recent discoveries on Renaissance art in Florence. During these Courses, the students will be stimulated to discuss the material with the teacher and each other.
All Courses can be booked independently. As the Courses are held consecutively, it is also possible to book all of them and learn all about the Renaissance period, the subsequent Mannerist period and the villa life of the Medici family.
On request, it is possible for Art History Florence to organize Courses for an exclusive group on other hours than scheduled. Separate Courses for study abroad students or for High School programs can also be arranged for.
The Courses are taught in English. All Courses are also offered in Dutch.
