Welcome to the Art of Living Well, Blue Hill, Maine, United States. At the Art of Living Well, serving the Blue Hill Peninsula and surrounding communities, Maine, we offer private Yoga instruction which can be a helpful and comfortable way to begin to learn some Yoga basics, develop a home practice, have a private weekly class, or refine, deepen and enliven an intermediate or advanced practice. Sessions usually run sixty to ninety minutes and are customized to your individual needs, goals and capabilities. A great way to support your personal practice! Private group classes are also available by request.
Numerous Yoga techniques and practices can be applied to help heal injuries, correct imbalances and address specific conditions. Therapeutic Yoga is helpful for a wide range of issues including back, knee, shoulder or joint pain, scoliosis, arthritis, stress, and anxiety or depression, to name a few. It is also a useful support for the nervous and immune systems and can be very beneficial when healing from significant health challenges.
Gentle stretching, breath work, restorative Yoga, chair Yoga, meditation and visualization are all tools that are used in recovering from injury or illness, or to support the body when in a depleted state. Yoga for Healing sessions are designed to enhance the body?s own capacity to heal, are catered to your individual needs, and are easily adapted to people of all physical abilities. Facilities are on ground level and wheelchair accessible.
