Assam is located in the eastern foothills of the Himalayas, nestled between mountain ranges in a valley that makes up one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world.

The main valley of Assam is cut into two halves by one of the longest rivers in the world, called the Brahmaputra. With its own varietal of the Tea plant, Camellia assamica, Assamese Tea has been the backbone of the English Tea industry since the 1800s.

Few Tea lovers know of Assam Tea by name in North America, most likely because importers on both sides of the Atlantic prefer to blend Assamese Tea with Teas from other origins to make breakfast blends like Irish Breakfast, English Breakfast, Scottish Breakfast and others. Assam Tea is strong, biscuity and offers unique flavor taste and cup character in each batch. Because of its strong body, Assamese Teas take to milk very well. We however suggest that you also try our Teas without milk (the way we enjoy it!), because we are sure you will fall in love with its intricate nuances and complex notes.
