A unique experience is a full day trip to remote Port Pegasus at the south eastern side of Stewart Island. Aurora Charters also specialises in pelagic bird trips and promises you a trip to remember.
Aurora Charters is owned and operated by Colin Hopkins, a 5th generation Stewart Island resident and his wife Margaret. Along with skipper Graeme Amos, their combined knowledge of natural and local history, plus a commitment to providing top quality service to clients, makes a day out on the 'Aurora' or the ?Aurora Australis? a memorable one.
Our charter vessel 'Aurora' was launched in 2003. This is a purpose built charter boat and will comfortably seat 20 in the cabin. There are two toilets on board and tea and coffee making facilities to make your journey more comfortable.
'Aurora' is an aluminium 18 metre catamaran, powered by twin engine Scania 350 HP diesel engines for safety and cruises at 15 knots.
