Bach Wen Farm and Cottages is a tranquil and peaceful site overlooking Caernarfon Bay in Gwynedd, Wales, United Kingdom. Bach Wen Farm and Cottages can be found near the village of Clynnog Fawr, 7 miles to the west of Caernarfon. We lie on the beautiful Lleyn Peninsular, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, Gwynedd, Wales.
Our cottages at Bach Wen Farm and Cottages are converted buildings from the working Farm that served the St Beuno Monastery which dates back to the 7th century. The 9 stone cottages offer outstanding views in all directions. From the paddocks in front of the cottages you get a spectacular view of Caernarfon Bay, Anglesey, Holy Island and the imposing Three Rivals mountain range.
The site to-day has converted the working buildings and accommodation of the monastery into 9 individual holiday cottages. They maintain the tradition and charm of the original buildings whilst including contemporary interiors and modern amenities.
Bach Wen Farm and Cottages has access to our own private beach. It is mostly rock and shingle but has sandy patches when the tide recedes. It is safe for bathing and fishing. Paddocks between the cottages and the beach are available for ball games and we also allow dog owners to run their pets in the paddocks as long as they are supervised.
A private lane leads from the cottages down to bluebell glade and then onto the beach. On the left you will see the watermill which has now been converted to the Mill and Hayloft cottages . On the right you will see the slopes of Snowdonia National Park. to-day has converted the working buildings and accommodation of the monastery into 9 individual holiday cottages.
