Bangor Historical Society in Bangor, Maine, was established in 1864, and over the years our mission has been and will be to preserve, protect and share the unique and interesting history of our beautiful city. Over the years our programming has increased, we offer excellent walking tours that range from guided to self guided tours, community interactions, special events and exhibiting our collections. Bangor Historical Society has so much to offer members, and former occasional lectures have now become a regular monthly feature that is attended by locals of all ages.
