Bill and Valerie welcome you to Bannest Hill House. We provide accommodation in two unique areas of the North Lakes of Cumbria in the United Kingdom.
Fountain Cottage and Poachers Cottage are located in the thriving and vibrant market town of Keswick, close to all amenities. They are ideally placed for those wishing to access all the joys of the Lake District, and as a base for touring the North Lakes.
If you wish to get away from it all, but still be able to access the region easily, Bannest Hill Cottage is where you want to be. Outside your door you can walk directly onto Caldbeck Common and into some of the most spectacular scenery around this part of the Lake District. Local wildlife includes fell ponies, a red squirrel colony and ospreys. The attractive local villages provide lots of amenities, good local food and a real ale microbrewery.
Situated by the River Greta, with views of the fells, Fountain Cottage is a quarter mile level walking distance from the center of Keswick. An ideal base for those wishing to explore the Lake District, this spacious three bedroomed property provides ample accommodation for families or couples wishing to sample all the delights of the Central Lake District, Eden Valley and Hadrian's Wall, in the United Kingdom. Fountain Cottage has central heating, which along with the hot water is free for use by guests throughout their stay. We accept a single adult dog , subject to complying with our conditions.
Poachers Cottage in Crosthwaite on the outskirts of Keswick was built by Faudlers Brewery in the late 1800's. A pleasant walk through the park and over the River Greta takes you to the centre of Keswick.
Whichever cottage you choose, Bill and Valerie provide a personal welcome and the highest standards of accommodation. We look forward to giving you a warm welcome on your arrival
