The Beach Hotel, is as the name says, directly overlooking the little known sandy beach and rugged coastline of Porthtowan Bay in the United Kingdom. Each of the 10 comfortable guest rooms has en-suite facilities and panoramic sea views.
The Beach Hotel is a family Hotel, run by resident owners Sian and Colin Hardwick. This cosy and intimate place is perfect for those wishing to find a relaxing retreat on the coast.
The Beach Hotel's terraced garden boundary is formed by the North Cornish coastal footpath offering a 'birds eye' view of sea and shore. Along the path close by, you can see the waterfall in 'Seal Bay', varieties of nesting birds and every now and then, a school of dolphins!
The path also passes some of the old tin mines, which form a large part of Cornwall's history.
There is much to see and do in the locality – beautiful gardens, National Trust properties, old steam engines, Cornish tin mines, the Eden Project, theme parks, boat trips, golf, water sports, cider making, shopping and even a visit to the Isles of Scilly can be done in a day.
Within a short drive, you can visit towns such as Truro, Newquay, St. Ives, Falmouth, Penzance and many more. It is blissful however, at the end of a busy day, to return to The Beach Hotel set in the small quiet and uncommercialised village of Porthtowan in the United Kingdom where you can relax and let the world go by.
The Beach Hotel has a cosy licensed bar and dining room overlooking the beach and sea. All of our guest rooms are centrally heated and have remote controlled TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
We can accommodate up to 26 guests and welcome enquiries from large groups and clubs for their holiday breaks.
