Beneath the forest and looking out over green fields to the magnificent mountain scenery of Skiddaw and the Helvellyn range, Beckstones Farm Guest House is peacefully situated off the beaten track and within a short stroll of the southern shores of Bassenthwaite Lake.
We invite you to join us in our cosy Georgian farmhouse, built around 1727 in the traditional Lakeland style, where we offer comfortable en-suite rooms with panoramic mountain views over the Derwent Valley with Bassenthwaite Lake, to Skiddaw and the Helvellyn range.
Guests at Beckstones Farm Guest House enter the farmhouse through a timber porch into a hall with a polished oak floor. A wide, graceful staircase ascends to the bedrooms on the first floor. All have tea and coffee making facilities and are centrally heated.
Guests have the enjoyment of a T.V. lounge with books, games and tourist information. English or alternative breakfasts are served in the beamed dining room.
Beckstones Farm Guest House has a large garden which is bordered by a stream and has ample car parking spaces. Bikes, canoes and other equipment can be locked away in the outbuildings.
The pubs and hotels of Braithwaite offer good food and are only two miles away. The busting tourist town of Keswick with its small shops, eating places and other leisure amenities and attractions is less than a ten minute ride away.
For the comfort and safety of all our guests, Beckstones Farm Guest House is a non-smoking establishment.
