The Big Blue Surf Center is situated on the beach, in front of Oceanis Beach Resort on the north east coast of Kos Island.
This area is well known for the Meltemi, the strong north/northwest wind which is blowing cross off shore from the left, almost every day during the summer season. The sailing area has a slight wind shadow depending on the wind direction. The wind on the outside can create waves up to 1m high.
Good conditions for all levels, best suited to intermediate windsurfers and above.
Big Blue Surf Center, Kos, Greece, offers courses with well-trained instructors for all levels. You will learn everything you need to know about Windsurfing. In all lessons we use video recording.
Big Blue Surf Center use Fanatic Viper 80 and Viper 85 with North Sails Drive Super Light. The combination of a very stable board and an extra light weight monofilm sail makes the learning extremely easy.
We teach the basic jibe, the fast tack, the use of harness and foot straps, the beach start.
From the water start and the power jibe to old school tricks and all the freestyle maneuvers.
You get a very wide selection of FANATIC boards and NORTH SAILS rigs.
We are always ready to help and advise our guests regarding the area, the equipment and the wind. Our qualified instructors hold courses at any level for kids and adults.
The Surfers Bar on the beach has a large variety of refreshments, coffees and drinks. During the high season it stays open until late, offering unforgettable summer nights by the sea.
