The dormitory was renovated changing the open plan bunk bed area into three private rooms, with two en-suite and one prepared for wheelchair access. This significant change will cater for a wider spectrum of visitors, while keeping the original charm.
The spacious kitchen at Bisgeos Hostel has a large dining table in a cozy corner seating up to 12 people, ideal for a group booking with your friends, 2 electric hobs / ovens, 2 fridges, microwave, toaster, mixer are available to provide a rich meal from Westray's fresh ingredients (famous steaks and fresh seafoods).
Bisgeos Hostel also supply a washing machine and dryer in this part of the Hostel.
The bunks are made from solid timber to fit a single bed mattress, which is wider than the usual bunk size. each bunk has its own light, socket and bedside shelf.
The highlight of the Bisgeos Hostel is its conservatory. Nets, sails, ropes and nautical maps gives the special atmosphere blending in with the panoramic view over a large bay with three Orkney isles silouetted on the horizon. sea, land and sky are on stage from this point above the western cliffs.
