Since 1987, the Blue Heron Gallery shows splendid examples of contemporary pottery, blown glass, wood furniture and accessories, fiber, forged iron, jewelry, paper, and mixed media. The work of over 100 fine craftspeople represented at our charming new gallery space on Morey Farm Drive, Deer Isle, Maine in the United States.
The Blue Heron Gallery offers contemporary craft of the highest quality. Representing craftspeople from Maine and all over the world since 1987, we show splendid examples of contemporary pottery, blown glass, wood furniture and accessories, fiber, forged iron, jewelry, paper, and mixed media.
Work of more than 100 artists, selected by Blue Heron Gallery owner Sue Wilmot, is on exhibit all summer. Although the Blue Heron Gallery is known for its fine collection of functional ceramics, the gallery also features the work of Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and Penland School of Crafts faculty. Selected artists from the juried craft shows of the Smithsonian Institution and the Philadelphia Museum of Art are represented as well.
Receptions are held at Blue Heron Gallery in Deer Isle, Maine, throughout the summer on Sunday afternoons . Come for a visual treat or perhaps to add to your collection. It has been said that the Blue Heron Gallery has the best work on the East Coast.
