It's amazing how many so-called "Grilles and "Bistros" have proliferated around the Bay area in the last couple of years. What's not so amazing is that for the past 10 years, the original Bay area Bistro has been quietly establishing itslef as the one to emulate. Bobbys Bistro & Wine Bar opened in 1994, and set about redefining nouveau, or what some call, Califonia Cuisine. The Leg up so to speak, was that this casula dining setting was concieved by the owners of Bob Heilman's Beachcomber.
For casula connoisseur, we call it a light approach to the consumption & enjoymewnt of good food and wines.
