Body Heart and Soul Yoga is centered in Courtenay, a small artistic community on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Located on the west coast of Canada, Body Heart and Soul Yoga is renowned for it?s natural beauty and provides an ideal setting for transformation and healing.
At Body Heart and Soul Yoga the emphasis is on an eclectic approach to hatha Yoga that uses breath, sound and Yoga postures. Connecting with the energy body and releasing emotional blockages allows one to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Used in conjunction with meditation practices it is gentle and powerful in the results.
Elisabeth Michielsen, the founder of Body Heart and Soul in Courtenay, British Columbia, has 27 years of experience and training with Yoga. She has been teaching for 20 years, and in addition to daily classes she leads workshops, retreats and provides teacher training. Private sessions, meditation instruction, massage, counseling, and accommodation are also available. Studio space available to rent for classes or workshops.
The vision of Body Heart and Soul Yoga is to include the physical, the emotional and the spiritual. Yoga means "union" and involves bringing all aspects of ourselves into harmony for a greater sense of health and wholeness. As we engage with postures, breath and sound we soften and release emotional blocks, healing on all levels. Yoga is an invitation to feel more deeply and live life more fully, awakening to our inner essence and spirit.
