Welcome to Bowman Island Charters in Nipigon. My 30ft water taxi and 45ft trawler are licensed by the Department of Transport to carry 12 passengers. We can take you to our remote lodge on Bowman Island. Bowman Island is just off the south shore of Saint Ignace Island, which is centered in the new Lake Superior Marine Conservation Area on the north shore of Lake Superior. The only access to the lodge is by water or air.

Gary Lange is a licensed Captain that has over 40 years of experience on the lake. Gary is also the owner operator of the boat and host of the lodge.

All fishing is done on light tackle from small boats, in the protection of the surrounding islands. Lake Superior offers excellent fishing for Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Salmon and Speckled Trout. The season will dictate the species most often caught. We promote catch and release to protect and improve the fishery. Any fish that you decide to keep will be processed to eat as lunch or take home. All meals are supplied as part of the package. Bowman Island Charters will also provide a meal with your catch if desired.
