Breaker View Self Catering is situated in Shelly Beach on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal, in South Africa, only an hours drive from Durban International Airport.

Breaker View Self Catering, a owner run self-catering establishment, conveniently located on the beachfront in Shelly Beach where it takes about 40 seconds to walk from our secure parking lot to the beach!

The Shelly Centre, the focal shopping point of the South Coast with +/- 100 shops and cinema complex is only 30m from our gate. The warm Indian Ocean and year round sub-tropical climate on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, makes for an ideal holiday destination.

The Sonny Evans Small Craft Harbour is approximately 40m from our gate and home to many and varied activities that include deep-sea Fishing, whale & dolphin viewing trips, scuba Diving, pleasure Cruises and many more.

The South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal is well known for its rock & surf Fishing and has an abundance of rocky outcrops and bays which suit this pursuit. It also boasts, some of the best beaches in the country, five blue flag beaches in all.We have 5 Self Catering units. Units 1 - 4 are sea facing, and are along the deck. This deck overlooks the pool and has amazing sea views. Unit 6 is non-sea facing and does not have this view.

All units have DSTV', microwave, oven, fridge/freezer, mini stove/oven and a complete sets of crockery & cutlery. Each unit has overhead fans and their own braai. All units are serviced daily except Sundays

Bed & Breakfast: All the units are self-catering. With prior notice a comprehensive continental breakfast can be served.

Scuba Diving: Protea Banks, a world famous shark dive site, situated just off Shelly Beach. Boats Launch from Small Craft Harbour. Surfing: Point Break of St. Mikes is consistent and a well known spot in the Surfing world. Whale & Dolphin Viewing Trips: from Small Craft Harbour in Shelly Beach.
Fishing: Various Fishing spots on the South Coast; Margate Pier, Orange Rocks in Uvongo, Sandspit in Port Shepstone, etc

Nature Reserves: Oribi Gorge and neighbouring Lake Eland - Large species of game and more than 350 bird species. Oribi Gorge Wild 5: Abseiling, white water rafting, wild swing, wild slide, hiking and bike trails. Crocodile Farm: Large croc farm in the nearby area. Crocodile feeding at 3.00pm every Sunday & Wednesday (in summer holidays).
