You are guaranteed to enjoy Breakfast at The Belhaven Inn, Belfast, Maine, United States.
When you register you will have the choice of a 7:30 am "Power Breakfast" or a full three course Breakfast served at 9:00 am. Using mostly Maine products wherever possible either type breakfast will tempt your palate.
The "Power Breakfast" will get you off to an early start with such healthy choices as fresh fruit smoothies, fruit juices, healthy cold cereals and low-fat milk, yogurts, cottage cheese, Henrietta Eggs (soft boiled) with toast strips, low-fat muffins and more.
Stay in bed longer and come down at 9:00 am for our full Country style breakfast. A three course delight starting with fresh juice, juice blends or smoothies. Next we tempt your palate with a fruit cup made with in-season fruits or sometimes yogurt with granolas or cottage cheese with fresh fruit. Our main entree may one of many such as: Strawberry Stuffed French Toast, an Italian Frittata, Blueberry Pancakes or a Ham & Cheese Strata. Special Sundays may bring something like Lobster Quiche or Egg Baskets Benedict. Ham, bacon or sausage is always served as an accompaniment. We top this off with some sort of fresh baked item such as: love muffins, popovers or tasty breads. You may request a vegetarian or diabetic menu the eve before. Please let us know of any severe food allergies when you register. The chef plans, shops, and prepares our exciting menus in advance so no substitutes are possible.
Coffee, teas/ herbals, or juice, milk and cold cereals are available at from 7:30 am on for Early Risers. Bring a cup up to your room, watch the news and weather in the Den or take it outside on the porch.
