The heart of Sandwich Village has come alive with the addition of a gourmet food Shop.



 Since the turn of the century The Brown Jug Antiques Shop has welcomed collectors of fine antique glass and memorabilia. The ownership of the building changed hands last summer to its new owners Steven Cox and his partner Michael Johnston. We felt it essential to keep the name, The Brown Jug, in respect of its place in Sandwich's wonderful history.



Through the winter months we have done some extensive renovations while keeping the authenticity of this beautiful antique building. As you enter this haven of fine foods you will feel welcomed by it's warm ambiance. Gorgeous old plank flooring, authentic antique cabinetry, and a blend of beautiful colors.



Our logo is subtly etched in the glass on the front door - "Hunger is the best sauce -Cicero 106 bc" - the logo itself conjures up an appetite. Right from the outside you know there is nothing like this on The Cape - once inside you'll realize those trips to Boston, New York or Rhode Island, United States  are no longer necessary when you crave fine artesian cheeses, truffle pates, fresh olives, smoked salts, caviar, gravlax, Iggy's fresh breads from Boston, finest pastas, Swedish linens Italian crockery - the list is endless.



Remember farm fresh eggs, organic and hormone free "bottled" milk - we have it! For those who crave organic dairy products, we have the finest from local Massachusetts dairy's to several products flown in from France.
