The Brown Pub "Your True Country Pub"
As you pull into Methven Mt Hutt Village in the Ashburton District and stand at the cross roads of the two main streets (one fittingly named Main Street!) you'll see two Pubs on opposite corners. One of them is Blue, one of them is Brown. Ours is the Brown one.
The catch phrase "your true country Pub" is very apt as this is indeed a classic New Zealand country Pub. Warm in atmosphere and welcome, you will feel right at home from the minute you walk in the door.
The Brown Pub is located right in the middle of town and offers the Main Bar, the Fireside Bar, a family restaurant, fresh, clean affordable accommodation and naturally a great time. We are also very proud to be awarded the Lion Breweries Beer Master award for demonstrating excellence in beer quality and presentation - two years running. So you know the beer is going to be good at The Brown Pub.
