The Bryan House is a Victorian bungalow located just "two stone throws" from Lake Superior in the stylish residential district of one of nicest communities on the North Shore. Henry S. Bryan, the founder, and first President of 3M Company had the house designed in 1901 and construction was complete in 1904.
You enter The Bryan House through a glassed in foyer into the spacious living room which has a beamed ceiling and a massive fireplace. Furnished in the tradition of the early 1900's the living room is a comfortable place to while away the time.
The music room adjoins the living room where guest can enjoy the antique piano and the phonograph music from the wind up "talking machine". Just off the music room is the sun room where guests are invited to enjoy the coffee which is available all day long. This is where the guests gather in the morning to have coffee, fruit juice and muffins before breakfast.
