The Buckhorn Farm BUNGALOW is located on a ten-acre farm near the north shore of Orcas Island. This family vacation cottage enjoys a wonderful country-farm atmosphere but is only 5 minutes away from the village of Eastsound, Orcas Island's version of 'downtown.' Guests can easily walk or ride bicycles along level roads to restaurants, shops or to nearby beaches to enjoy a view of Mt. Baker.
The bungalow looks out over a garden and fruit trees, some of which are treasured remnants from the days when Orcas Island was known as the 'orchard capital' of the state. An informal hedge of wild blackberries flowers abundantly in early summer and is laden with fruit later in the season. Deer roam freely about the farm and bald eagles soar overhead. We have painstakingly restored the Bungalow to keep its c. 1940 style and charm, and to provide our guests with all the comforts of home.
