.Buckingham House" is a comfortable, Grade 2 listed,
Georgian house, offering superb sea and valley views
out beyond the rooftops of the historic, and picturesque, working fishing village of Mevagissey, England in the United Kingdom.
Situated just 150 yards from Mevagissey's delightful shops,
restaurants, pubs and harbour, Buckingham House Bed and Breakfast is ideally situated for guests wishing to explore this beautiful village in England.
If a coastal setting is a change for you, waking up at Buckingham House Bed and Breakfast will be a special treat...... You will almost certainly wake to the morning song of sea birds, as they go about their daily chores, or why not take an early morning stroll around the harbour, where you are sure to be entertained by the local fisherman or maybe even the odd seal, dolphin or basking shark around the harbour mouth.....
Mevagissey lies on the South Coast of Mid-Cornwall at the tip of the beautiful and peaceful Roseland Peninsula..... It is ideally situated to cover all areas of Cornwall as day trips by car, or, if you prefer to stay close at hand, Mevagissey itself has lots to offer its visitors to this England coastal town.
The harbour is of course a fascinating place to sit and while away the day, there is always lots going on, the antics of the local fisherman, the wildlife and of course the visitors! ....... or, if you prefer to take to the seas yourself, there are plenty of boat trips to take, either to do a little sight seeing of the local coastline or to try your luck at a spot of fishing......
Mevagissey has its own beach, Polstreath, which is accessible from the coastal path leading towards the village of Pentewan, or just to walk along the coastal path with its stunning views is a pleasure in itself....... There is also the aquarium, recently refurbished, which is situated on the harbour going out towards the lighthouse. It is said to be 'possibly the smallest aquarium in the world', but features many species of fish found in these waters. There is also the World of Model Railways, with one of the best model shops in the South-West of England. The OO gauge exhibition layout, has over 30 trains travelling through varied landscapes including town, country, seaside and even an Alpine Winter, so is well worth a visit.
