The Bunker Museum in Ijmuiden aan Zee, Velsen, Netherlands welcomes you to a fascinating and informative visit in the men's bunker of the Heerenduin battery, and they celebrate special events like Bunker Day and the Historical weekend. Listed as a national monument, and from November to March you can enjoy Museum tours on the first Sunday of every month available for 15 people, so advanced booking is a must for these winter tours during their winter closure. The Bunker Museum is open every first and third Sunday in the months of April to October, come learn about the fascinating life of the 18 soldiers who stayed here during the Second world war, this open air Museum also features outside collection pieces of beach barriers, and the rooms inside have ben converted into a diorama with reconstructions of a bedroom from then and more, they also have an underground Seehund pavilion which shows the wreck of a 12 metre long mini boat, it's all here for a fascinating visit.
