Caeau Capel Hotel is situated on 1 1/2 acres of land in the historical town of Nefyn on the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula, Gwynedd, Wales, United Kingdom. With views of the North Wales coastline just a short stroll will bring you to magnificent scenic cliffs or Nefyn's 2 mile sweep of gently sloping sandy beaches.
Caeau Capel Hotel was built in the late 1800's as a country house in Gwynedd, Wales, for the Miller family whose daughter went on to marry, at the turn of the century, the Prime Minister Clement Atlee who was a frequent visitor to the house.
Caeau Capel Hotel has 17 tastefully furnished en-suite bedrooms (single/twin/double/family rooms). They all have TV, clock radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms have balconies and sea views.
Evening dinners are home cooked using local produce where possible which can be enjoyed in a spacious dining room overlooking the grounds with sea and mountains beyond.
Caeau Capel Hotel has a resident's bar and two lounges, one of which has a TV where you can just relax and make yourselves at home.
There is also a games room with darts, a pool table and a putting green situated on the front lawn.
Pets are welcome subject to prior arrangement.
Caeau Capel Hotel has its own car park, which holds 18 cars.
For the golfer, we have special concessions with seven superb golf courses, including the championship course at Royal St. David's and the ever-popular 27-hole course 'Nefyn and District' just over a mile from the Hotel.
There are many other activities available locally, such as sailing (Pwllheli), shooting, archery, windsurfing, water-skiing, fishing, go-karting and quad hiking, some of which we can arrange for you if required.
For those not wishing to take part in such physical activities, there are historic castles to visit, archaeological sites, National Trust properties, museums, slate and copper mines and craft centres to name but a few.
Caeau Capel Hotel can also provide an ideal base for those who wish to travel further afield. Snowdonia, Portmeirion, Caernarfon and Anglesey are all within an hour's drive of the Hotel, as is a trip on the Ffestiniog Railway.
