Cafe Fe, Wanaka's Favourite Daytime Cafe, All Day Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch
One of the regions most recognised cafe's and popular with the locals. Cafe Fe Restaurant and Gallery are named after the glacial carved hill, Mount Iron, which Cafe Fe faces.
Set in a rustic converted barn in the luxury Heritage Village Resort just two minutes drive from Wanaka township, this character filled building is a great place to enjoy a coffee, breakfast or lunch.
The philosophy of Cafe Fe focuses on fresh locally grown and supplied produce, even the cafe garden supplies an abundance of herbs, fruit and vegetables which are incorporated into daily blackboard specials, producing new and exciting dishes for your palate to experience. Local specialties include venison, lamb and Mount Cook salmon. Complement these flavours with a central Otago wine for authentic regional culinary experience.
The children can let off steam in the sandpit whilst the adults explore the metal works of Ernie Malusching and Jane Orr in the contemporary art gallery or simply recline with a drop of Central Otago wine on the sun terrace. Great for those late summer lunches or a spot of après ski. There is catering to approximately 80 inside and 40 outside.
