The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre is a community based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Chinese culture and cultural diversity to the public through educational programs, recreational and cultural activities in Calgary, Western Canada, Canada.
The objectives of the Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre is to provide a venue and quality programs to the Chinese and different Canadian ethnic groups to learn and appreciate different facets of Chinese heritage, history and cultural context, to foster and cultivate cultural exchange between the East and West and contributes meaningfully to the Canadian spirit of multiculturalism.
Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre strives to promote the creation, performance and appreciation of arts by coordinating arts advocacy, to actively serve the Chinese community by establishing, maintaining and operating a unique facility and providing services that contributes to the vitality of the Community in Calgary, Western Canada and to preserve and stimulate Chinese and intercultural values.
The inauguration of the Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre marked a new era in promoting Chinese culture actively to the main stream and by fostering cultural exchange between the East and West and to contribute to the Canadian spirit of multiculturalism meaningfully. Since its grand opening on 27 September 1992, the Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre has remained the focal point for community activities and a premier venue offering stimulating environment for cultural activities, arts talents and quality programs to the public.
