Kitchen Cabins - Camp Waipu Cove
When you want a beach holiday without the hassle of packing camping gear and tents, our Kitchen Cabins are an ideal choice.
Each Kitchen Cabin is ?stand-alone? with its own deck and outdoor furniture ? a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or relax in the afternoon sun as you wind down for the day.
All Kitchen Cabins are one open-plan room, featuring a double bed and a Futon double bunk bed (with a day couch / double fold-out futon bed on the bottom and a single bed on the top).
Your kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, electric fry pan, kettle, toaster and pots and pans. There is crockery and cutlery for 6 people.
You will also find a wardrobe, clothes rack and heater in your Kitchen Cabin. Communal ablutions are just a stone?s throw from your cabin and full linen is available for hire at a fee per bed per holiday. We have a no smoking policy in all our accommodation units and communal buildings. Additional charges will be made if you fail to observe this policy.
Guests staying in our Cabins also have exclusive use of outdoor coin-operated BBQ?s nearby their cabin.
Dolphin & Whale Watching
Bottle Nose and Common Dolphins reside in Bream Bay all year round and the Hen & Chicken Islands are renowned for their prolific dolphins. Bream Bay Charters operate a Dolphin & Whale Watch charter as sightings are very frequent. You can even swim with the dolphins and snorkelling equipment is provided.
Orca, Pilot and large Baleen Whales are also all regular visitors of the stunning Bream Bay and our surrounding islands.

Mangawhai Heads Ocean Beach
This is a nice surf beach with surf patrol & flags in season. Toilets and change room facilities.
Pacific Beach
First road left after Mangawhai School. This is a pretty beach with toilets and picnic tables.
Eyres Point, Mangawhai
A few kilometres past Pacific Beach turn off to the left to find Eyre?s Point. There is a coin-operated BBQ and picnic table areas.
Te Arai Point
Te Arai Point is at the north end of Pakiri Beach. There are coin-operated BBQs, a picnic area, toilets and a changing room. This beach is the safest un-patrolled beach.
Langs Beach
Nice surf beach, with lovely pohutukawa trees along the edge. There are toilets and a change shed at the southern end of beach in the car parking area.
Uretiti Beach
Approximately 5 kilometres north of Waipu. Good surfcasting, swimming and body surfing to be had.
Ruakaka Beach
Long open beach. Surf patrolled in season. There is a changing room and toilets and a playground area for the kids
