Welcome to Cannons Fish Market in Washington D.C., United States. The Cannons Fish Market offers a great selection of fresh seafood from oceans around the world. With a lifetime of experience, we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and our personalized customer service.
Cannons? family obsession for quality foods began in the early 1900?s when my great-grandfather, Joseph (Joe) Cannon, first delivered milk by horse-drawn wagon, then opened the Congressional restaurant on B St, S.E. (the site that is now known as Independence Avenue) until the great Depression, then sold fifty cent home cooked pies at Union Station, and finally found his niche when he opened a seafood business in 1937 at the Municipal Fish Market on Water St. (later known as Main Avenue) in Washington D.C.
In the past seventy years, a lot has changed ? fish no longer costs five cents a pound, Joe Cannon is no longer with us, and my father has retired (semi?) from the business. But the one constant that will not change is the demand for quality and freshness, not only from our customers, but also from Cannons. Presidents, foreign dignitaries, members of Congress, and everyone in between expect that they can still go back to Cannons and find the same freshness and quality they found in the store (or stand) ten, twenty, or even seventy years ago. Today, we continue to strive to meet those expectations. Come and be part of the next seventy years with us.
We look forward to welcoming you to Cannons Fish Market, Washington D.C., United States.
