The Canoe Club of Greater Harrisburg in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was established in 1976 as a non-profit Paddling club that organizes Kayaking and Canoeing trips all year round as well as a yearly weekend camping trip beside the Youghiogheny River. Our Paddling club arranges regular safety and skill training courses in Kayaking and Canoeing for members with all levels of skill, to ensure safe and enjoyable outings. The Canoe Club of Greater Harrisburg offers excellent instruction to members on relevant safety measures on how to avoid hazards and how to handle difficult situations, and during winter months our club hosts rolling clinics on how to learn or improve rolls, an essential safety skill for paddlers embarking on white river rafting.
